United Express carriers are as follows:

SkyWest Airlines (OO) - operates EMB-120's, CRJ200's and CRJ700's
Hubs Served: SFO, LAX, PDX, SEA, ORD, DEN

Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation (ZW) - operates CRJ200's & BAe146's
Hubs Served: ORD, DEN, LAX, IAD

Mesa Airlines (YV) - operates CRJ200's, CRJ700's, Dash-8's
Hubs Served: SFO, LAX, DEN, ORD, IAD

Shuttle America (S5) - operates Saab SF340's
Hubs Served: IAD

Chautauqua Airlines (RP) - operates ERJ-145's
Hubs Served: IAD, ORD

SkyWest is the largest United Express carrier of the group. PDX and SEA are most likely not considered UA hubs, but rather focus cities, but OO UAX has fair networks out of each city.

I know Mesa (YV) does and they operate the CRJ-200 and 700 for them. They also fly the DASH-8 for UAE. We were also told that Air Midwest (subsidiary of Mesa) was going to be doing some Beech 1900 flying for UAE out of IAD also, but that has not been etched in stone yet.

Air Wisconsin operates British Aerospace 146-200 and 300 type as well as CRJ 200. Mesa operates their CRJ-700. Skywest operates both the CRJ-200 and 700 as well as the Brasilia EMB-120, primarily on the inter-california routes. Chautauqua runs the Embrarer 145's, Shuttle America operates the Saab 340. I'm pretty sure this is about it. But all in all..United Express sucks.

Chataqua operates UAX? I thought Trans-States operated those Embraers for UAX?

So ASA doesn't fly for UA anymore?

When they did, they flew CRJ-200 and Jetstream. Maybe something else, that's just what I flew on in 2003.

NY-JFK-LGA: No. It used to be just ACA, Air Wisconsin, Skywest and Mesa. UAL added Chautaqua and Shuttle America to fill the ORD and IAD void ACA left behind starting in June of this year.

Ushermittoch: Your thinking ACA, not ASA. And no, ACA parked all the Jetstreams this month up in Maine and is now utlizing all the RJs for Independence Air.

Just out of curiosity, where did ACA park the J-41s? Next time I'm up in New England for more than a day or two, I might just have to run up to Maine and get those registrations.

Flyibaby-

Are you being biased? Why do you think UAX sucks?

Because once upon a time I handled four of their different airlines at the same station. They are the most un-coordinated group of regionals (ACA included at the time) when it came to deciding on what to cancel, what connections were good, finding baggage and playing the blame game. I like UAL, always will. I think they have very good service. Its just the buffet of carriers UAX employs that makes it seem so logical why AA consolidated eagle from four-five companies in the mid 90's into one unit, with the exception of Executive Air, which does the MIA-SJU eagle stuff i believe. So no, I don't think I am baised in this case.

I think United Expess does a pretty good job considering the hand United delt them. Obviously some of the Express carriers are better than others........

PWM has no space to park anything, nor anyone to take care of them.......it might be BGR, but I've heard nothing about them being there.

Have to agree with you there UAXDXer. It's an unbelievable challenge trying to run five different airlines under the same umbrella in one location. ZW's performance in this arena at ORD in the past few weeks proves that it can be done well, it just takes some time to get all of the logistical aspects in place and fine tuned.

The J-41s were Flown to Loring Maine for storage. All of them are there except one that is still in Dulles being repaired so it can make the trip.

Just My 2 Cents

Correction, They were flown to Loring Intl. but it's located in Limestone Maine.
The Airport is a closed AFB which has been converted into a commerce park and Airport
