Hey everyone. SSV'S A333 is grounded in SUF for an engine change!!!! Now, can someone tell me how long it should take to get this thing out of Lamezia?? I mean it's such a remote airport, but only about 9hrs or so from FCO. Also, i've heard that they will be sending 320s there to pick up the stranded passengers. How the HECK will that work?????

Thanks for the replies!!!

well, I think you might have forgotten something...

Italy is within europe, so it is absolutely no problem to fly in spares and technicians from Airbus/Tolouse...

...or from rome, if there is a source! Btw. the pure flying time between Rome and Lamezia is 65 minutes!!!  Big grin

ROM-SUF is about 7 hours drive if you stop to eat, refuel and pee.

Actually, it's in the SSV hangar at YYZ, waiting an engine change. It never made it to SUF.

For those of who don't know,
Please inform who SSV might be.
Thank you.

Well, FlightOps for Skyservice were the ones who gave me this info. But can someone still tell me how A320s are getting there. Thanks!

Thanks Dakotasport! Know exactly how it is, depending on others info...!

They probably mean that A320s of somebody else (AZ, VA, etc.) will get the pax.

From what I can see, SSV sent (on Aug. 26) an A320 on the following routing: YYZ-YMX-KEF-SUF. (From www.flytecomm.com)

According to SSV, flight 709 from SUF, originally scheduled to arrive in YYZ at 2120 on Aug 26, will now arrive at 0850 on Aug 27. Only those passengers from SUF, however, will be arriving on that flight. Passengers from VCE will arive on Aug. 28 at 0930. Confusing!

Next flights: YQM-YYZ-YOW v.v. / YQM-CUN v.v. / YQM-YUL-YWG v.v. / YSJ-YYZ-SEA-SFO / SFO-YYZ-YOW-YQM / YQM-YYZ-MUC-TXL /
