I just found this pic in the database, according to the caption, it was registered in late July. I'd like to know why a brand new aircraft is wearing UA's old colors. Anyone who could help, drop a line. This seems like a step back lol.

Theory: Seeing it may be a new plane, the manufacter may have placed the o/s on it due to not having access to the n/s or colors to paint it that way.
Seeing a regional feeder operates it, they may have orderd it themselves and found it more economical to bring it online in the o/s.

It could have been painted in the old colours several months ago and was not delivered till late July.

It doesn't say when it was taken... it says when it was posted. He could have held onto the picture for a while before sending it to A.Net to be approved. Just because that date is on there, doesn't mean it was taken on that date.

Hey Obama, keep the change! I want my dollar back.

If Continental had a hub at DFW with nonstop flights I would always fly them, unfortunantely good things take time.

thanks for the replies, it says it was taken August 8th according to the photographer, and BBD does have access to the new livery (they delivered some new livery CR2s to OO and ZW). So, I guess it must have been painted a few months back.
