if u will not have anychecked baggage, or if your baggage will be delived directly at your destination its very simple.
IV done it fron T4 to T1 but thing should be basically the same.
when u get off the airbridge u go into a tunnel that brings you to the main terminal area. from there u must floolw the sighns for transfer. this should lead you to a double escalotor. one is for the T1-T2 transfers the other for the T3-T3 transfers. from there im guessing u have to get ona bus to get to the terminal. atleast thats wut i did for my connection. then when u get to T3 there are little maps that tell the location of each gate relative to where you are and it also tells the estimated time until you reach the gate. i hope this helps.

Allow plenty of time. My experience is that 90 minutes is not really enough. The bus signs show you through the way, but the delay is at the flight connections centre (FCC), I've often spent up to 30 minutes in the security lines. Security is at the FCC and you have to clear that before being able to check-in for onward flights if not already done so. I can't imagine that BA/VS will allow through check-in given the way they don't get on! I'd say allow at least 2 hours for your connection. My many experiences have shown that it's about 20 minutes transit time T4-FCC, about 40 mins at the FCC, then another 20 Mins to get FCC-T3. Add also the time to get to/from the gates on at the terminals, which can be substaintial at sprawling LHR.

If you have baggage and are connecting from BA to another airline on a separate ticket, they will not thru-check your bags. Quite how they align this with "excellent customer service" escapes me.
Whilst they have no legal obligation to do so, it is the industry standard accepted practice to do this for your customers. Many of our customers faced recently with this problem have said they will change to BD in future. I feel it may be a ploy by BA to persuade customers to use BA for their entire journey, and whilst this is understandable, I think it could back-fire long term.

I always try to check pax through whenever possible, even if they have separate tickets with different airlines.
KLM is not legally obligated to do so, but it is minimum effort for me and maximum convenience for the pax.
And if the "other airline" allows (I)TCI, (Interhost)Through Check In, I'll print boardingpasses for all segments. And if not the least you can do is send the baggage all the way through.
For instance: just 2 weeks ago I had a pax traveling from Aruba to AMS on KL, AMS-LHR on BD, and LHR-HKG on CX. When I entered his onward destinations it was BINGO! Checked all the way through to HKG and issued all boarding passes for all segments.

Good stuff! It's wonderful what computers can do, when you actually want them to do it!
However, with the above example - when the pax arrives in HKG and his bag is not on the carousel, which carrier is responsible for the loss? A, B, or C?
I'm all in favour of through check-in for pax with one ticket and no baggage, but feel that the restriction where baggage is concerned, on separate tickets, is an IATA rule, not a specific airline, like BA.
It could have changed!
PA006 has indicated that he will probably have no checked baggage.

I'm flying VS from SFO to LHR, and then AF from LHR to CDG later in September, will VS check our bags through, even through it's different tickets, and can anyone confirm terminal locations for VS and AF at Heathrow, and the transfer drill?
