DAYGS: Depends on what class you go into. I've seen classes as long as three weeks for new-hires when I worked up there. Most of them are 1-2 weeks and all training takes place in the Employee Center near Dulles. Expect brand training, computer training, and some basic ramp training if your an outstation agent. Are you interested in the TPA opening?

We aren't expanding at all. In fact we are shrinking right now. Parked 28 J-41's, Parking 33 Dornier 328 jets in Nov. Not taking delivery of 34 CRJ's that we still have on order (and are canceling), and that will be off set by 4 airbus deliveries this year. So we lose 61 airframes, + 34 that were suppost to be here, and we gain 4 airplanes? So explain to me how this is "so much growth"? We have furloughed 115 pilots, with another 150 to follow early next year because of the Do jets going away. So explain to me how this is growth?
Now since I have read some of your other posts, I don't quite think you understand what we have done here. You keep talking about how we have grown too much and talk about the cash position ect. So let me ask you a question, what would you have done with the 87 airplanes we already had and the 4000 employees we already had? would you have laid off 3/4 of the workforce and park 60 airplanes that we are obligated to pay the leases on anyway? while trying to recover the cost of laying off all of those employees, all the training involved by displacements ect, and the paying the leases on 60 parked airplanes, with just 27 airplanes flying around?
So until you can riddle me that, I wouldn't be making statements like they WILL be in trouble down the road.

Thank you Nearod, I'm so sick of people running their mouths about our airlne and we have only been in business for 2 months. It amazes me how people bash us when we just started out and say nothing about all these legacy carriers who are broke as a third world country. And on another note I have applied to be transfered to TPA and am waiting for my interview I was surprised that we announced TPA so soon, I had always been told to expect it early next year but now I hear we will be flying to TPA sometime in Nov.
