As the topic states, does anyone have a list of KLM 747's? I traveled from NYC to VIE with a stop in HAM in Sept of 1981. I was 8 at the time and just found a photo of myself and my sister in flight in a 747. Any information is greatly apprecaited.

Hi B727
I have an old book of early 1982 where I found that KLM had 9 Boeing 747-206B and 7 Boeing 747-206B Combi by that time plus 1 Boeing 747-206 Combi on order. All those planes had the reg PH-BU* (A,B,C,D,E,F,G, etc, etc, ) no, no but PH-BUF which was lost in Tenerife on 1977.
I hope this info could help you.
P.S. as additional info they had rivers names (Mississippi, Nile, Hudson, ...)

I don't have an answer to you, except I wanted to say I was born in 9/81...so I definitely was not able to fly then!

As far as I know, the best source where you can find the information you need is http://www.airlinerlist.com, where you can download a zipped XLS file with a complete list of all airframes built of a certain model of aircraft. This file features a list of all operators each airframe has flown for, including the delivery date to each operator. With a bit of work, you'll be able to know what 747s were flying for KLM in Sept 1981. To make things easier for you, this is the direct link to the 747 file: http://www.planemad.net/airlinerlist/boeing-747.zip
