Hi! I have to get to school soon, but I wanted to ask you guys, is there anyone that is going to the fair/airshow out at Spirit of St. Louis Airport? The reason I ask is that it might be kind of cool to meet up with some of you guys if you are going. You can get info about the airshow here: . I plan on going September 11(Saturday), but I'm open for the other dates also. I kind of wanted to go Saturday or Sunday, because the EAA is having a talk about how to get your pilots license Well, time to head for school! I hope there are at least a few of you guys who are gunna be going!

Dang, I'll be up there this weekend, wish it was a weekend sooner. You can email me if you have any questions about getting a pilots lic, I got mine in '01 and would be happy to share thoughts, tips, comments. I did like the flight school I toured there at Spirit of STL.

Sweet--that might not be a bad idea for me. I flew my first airplane after it departed from Spirit, got to sit in the cockpit as we returned for a landing...boy was that fun. The flight school there rocks. I could try to be there...it is definitely a possibility for me.

So, do you guys wanna try and like, meet up at the main gate, or would you guys rather explore the grounds separately? Well, anyways, I'm going to need to let this go until this evening(school), and plus, my grandparents want to think about this, and they will tell me if they totally approve of it or whatever their decision is. I also have an orthodontist appointment to go to this weekend(we haven't made the appointment yet), so we just need a bit of time to let us think and plan for all of this. So, talk to you guys tonight!

WOW, F-18s at STL????
They came a couple days early two years ago as well. I guess it's a pretty big marketing deal and whatnot. I fueled one of them the last time they were here. The only difference between the Blue Angels and the normal Navy aircraft is that there was a guy with a rag wiping off the fuselage when I disconnected.
The Fair is really a good time. No where near the size of say, Oshkosh but still a great airshow. There are usually about 20-30 aircraft from warbirds to some classic airliners on display as well. If the family isn't as much into planes, there is still plenty to do so all can be happy.
