I saw this A380 photo on a site that I just discovered. This designer said "Possible livery for A380 introduction".
New colors New design for a brand new aircraft,I think it this photo will look good on the A380(maybe the 747). The tail still has the old logo they have been using for years. Maybe the designer(Andre Bourgeois) can send this photo to Lufthansa and they'll probably accept it and maybe put this on the rest of their Airbus fleet
What do you think of the photo? Is it worthy of representing Lufthansa?

A320:

(Thats how it would look on the A330/A340)

Thanks

BTW: Can someone bring up any info on an offical new levery?

Don't like it at all - it's an interesting livery in itself, it just doesn't represent Lufthansa at all.

I'd say that a snowball has higher chances in hell than this livery has of being adopted by LH... it just doesn't fit.

Frank

That is hideous.

Like one of Bill Cosby's sweaters went and upchucked on an A380.

Looks too cartoonish to be the livery of such a distinguished carrier.

Doesn't look very Lufthansa-ish at all. And supersized to fit on an A380, well it would sure be an eye-catcher all right but.. yikes  Smile

Yea, it's too interesting and colourful to be Lufthansa's livery, I'm sure they'll find a nice Eurowhite livery to bore everyone to sleep......

I was mislead by the topic. I thought it meant a new Airbus House color scheme for the A380. I wouldn't be surprised if they did, since boeing introduced a new one for the 7E7.

Well, for those of which how absolutely hate the new concept levery are more Retro-Classic-747-1 type, you know. For those who do like it are more Fantasy-Futuristic -7E7,BWB types.

But what do you think of this 747-400

Well comparing the two I think the B747(Not because I'm anti-Boeing, which I'm not) Because with the bird pitching up like that and the nose touching the cock pit it looks like the 747 has a huge mouth. The A380 still has a mouth but not as big. I guess it's how you look and you think of it.

I agree that it looks very LCC and cheap. Personally I love Lufthansas current colors. I think that they have a "proffesional" presence for a distinguished airline. The plane colors I love and I dont think its boring at all!

I kind of like the colors, but it is true that it does not represent Lufthansa at all.

LH is a 70+ year old airline, one of the most respected and respectable airline business in the world. A testimony of the German's professionalism and quality of service they offer.

This looks much too "start-upish" or "LCCish" to make such a statement.

The only part of that livery I like is that it's not eurowhite. It absolutely sucks, I agree with everyone who says it looks like an LCC. Billboard titles just look cheap IMO.

While I'm indifferent to what LH paints on their A380s (sorry I'm just not a big LH fan), I'd hope that Airbus does something a tad more creative than the current Airbus house colors. If there is one thing Boeing beats Airbus on, its making kick-ass color schemes for important aircraft-

maybe it would look better by pushing the bird that seperates the blue and white back to right behind the wing.. this way the main color in the scheme is still white

you all are missing a key fact, its a butt ugly plane to begin with, no livery will make it look "good", the closest it will get is "ok looking"

While it is striking and imaginative, I would agree with some of the posts that it is far too radical for Lufthansa. Maybe a toned down version would be more acceptable, such as dropping the blue on top of the fuselage, and changing the bird logo and curved stripe to blue, keeping it the same size.

Its definetly different. but it looks to much like an LCC. Theres to much blue in the livery, wich makes it look cheap. The Lufthansa-bird should stay in blue like on the tail. Its just to big, everything, to shocking.

I would like it more if they used less blue, and more white, at least on the bottom. The large bird on the side of the fuselage is a nice touch though. Could be the starting point of something new and different.  Smile

Blue equals cheap?? But not the dark LH blue. A LH-Cargo plane would look good in that livery, but just one.

First off, the picture that claims it is the A330/A340 picture is actually an A32S plane. I am not a huge fan of the livery, but I think it flows better on the 744 than the A380. I don't think it looks cheap, rather cluttered. LH is actually one airline that looks good in Eurowhite. It is all the other airlines that go with it that are annoying. I am glad airlines like Spirit are going with different colors and making their planes look great

26 BoeingPride800 : I like it, especially on the 744. But I think Lufthansa could do a better job.
27 Hz747300 : I think that the graphic artists at LH should be fired! Just kidding - it is cool, but not a prim and proper airline. For an airline, that does not pa
28 Sn26567 : Wouldn't Lufthansa adopt such colors to compete with Ryanair ?
29 ORDAgent : LH does need to update the look. As classy as it is they simply need to update it. The trick will be to create something contemporary and eye catching
