Hi, I am hoping some one can help me.

I am an Iberia Plus silver member.

I never recived my card, also I have made a flight they never credited me for and this flight also pushes me up to a Gold Iberia Plus Card.

I contacted Iberia Johannesburg office and they keep fobbing me off and giving me an email address.

I have emailed Iberia 3 times and to this day still dont have a response.

I am looking to get credited for my missing miles and to get my new memebership card.

Does any one know if there is any possiblity of me moving my miles and stuff to BA, my mom is a BA executive club member and has never had a single problem with them. They are very efficient and helpful.

Or if any one knows a contact email or phone number I can get hold of Iberia on please can I have it?

Thanks
Matt

Why contact them in Johannesburg when they are based in Spain?

I would write Iberia a letter (select the appropriate address from the IB website), as all of my problems get solved through letters.

Once miles are credited on one account, they cannot be moved to another. If your miles have not yet been credited, then you can get them credited to BA as long as you were a member of the BA FFP prior to your flights. I have heard that BA is a bit picky about what flights qualify, as well as many members swear never to earn another mile on BA's FFP.

Hi Matt, to be honest, I have never had problems with IberiaPlus, yet I don't have the silver status yet. In any case, I always check my points through iberia.com and so far so good.

I have checked me iberia plus account their website and it doesnt help at all.

The thing is I also want to use my miles to make flights from Johannesburg-Cape Town on BA.

My flight that is missing is a first class one so I souldnt have problems with BA, what I am wondering is if I can close the account at IB, and transfer the miles to BA. So then I have one account at BA and not with IB. If they gave me he miles I would reach their gold status.

I contacted them in Johannesurg as they used to have this wonderful lady who deals with their FF program although she no longer works their. I contacted them in Johannesburg as I live there.

Contact Iberia:
http://www.iberia.com/OneToOne/gateway_es.jsp
Note: It is a Java Script link, so you need to select "Contact" at the bottom of the page.

If you were trying to contact Johannesburg about a Johannesburg flight, you do not need to. You do not even need to contact BA. If you plan on using IB miles, you need to book with IB, not BA.

what I am wondering is if I can close the account at IB, and transfer the miles to BA
No you cannot. My best advice - if you did want to use only BA, which I would advice against - would be to earn some more miles on IB, and then "bank out" by taking a reward flight using as many miles as you can.

Never mind about part of my previous reply, as I just say that reply.

Why do you list yourself as being from Greenland when you live in South Africa?

I know I need to book with IB although they no longer have a person in Johannesburg who deals with their FF program and I tried in Madrid but was taken in a huge damn circle and on their website you cant book from Johannesburg-Cape Town.

Thanks for the help.

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

Generally I find IB a nightmare if things go wrong,my dad has had problems too!

I still use them though for BA miles etc, sometimes you have to put up with them.
