OK, guys, please bear with this low-tech old geezer. I just went on-line and checked in for my TED flight RNO-DEN tomorrow. I printed my boarding pass. But how do I use the computer kiosk at the airport tomorrow to check my bag? I guess I'm just a worry-wart, as I'm sure the directions on the gizmo will be clear, but any advance help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm sorry, ma'am, I don't work for the airline.

Don't worry too much because United reps will be there to help you. Just kindly get their attention and they'll be able to assist you with your check-in needs.

Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

In my experience, not with UA though, The agent was there to do it for me most of the time. The directions are really easy and most of the time you have to got the the designated counter area for bags especially on DL out of LGA.

I have used kiosk check-in with UA many times. It's very easy to check your bags. If the agent isn't there (however, in my experience there has always been one), the computer will ask you if you have any bags to check. If so, type in the amount of bags and proceed to the very short line labeled "Easycheck-in Passengers with Bags." They'll look at your boarding pass, stick the tag on your bag and send it away. Too easy and much better than standing in line.

It won't work.

If you checked in online, the kiosk will not let you check in again. You have to have human intervention at that point.

If you have bags to check, you can take them to a skycap or to the counter. The skycap will probably print you new boarding passes anyway, because it confuses them.

Gigneil...

A new enhancement was loaded a few months ago that allows a person to check bags who has checked in online. See www.unitedeasy.com for details.

Well, if my bags wind up in Helsinki instead of Denver, it won't be because you guys didn't try to help! My flight leaves at 0600, so thanks for the help and good night.

I'd go to a skycap and avoid the long lines, pay the guy 2 dollars and head for the gate, and don't forget to show him your boarding pass.
