This is quite a surprising route to be launching from BRS, as they dont serve Valencia from any other airports.
They usually like to try a new route out from London and if it is a success they will launch it from other regional airports. It does however show easyJet's confidence in BRS and is now there biggest hub outside of London.
I think they are offering this route and Copenhagen has been dropped and they have the spare capacity...

Interesting. Valencia seems to be growing in popularity from the UK. Not long ago there were no LCC flights there from the UK but soon we'll have U2 from STN and BRS and Thomsonfly from CVT and Donny.

For Summer 04 we have 3 x 733s and 3 x 73Gs at BRS. We will get a seventh based aircraft for the Winter season (probably a 73G).
Valencia should be an interesting destination, nice little afternoon duty there but knowing easyJet they will probably tag it on to the 19:10 BRS-EDI-BRS for us crews, or put it after the 07:10 BRS-PRG-BRS which will make it another long day out
Looking forward to it though, along with Rome.
(p.s. Off topic but Gkirk you're a NCL lad right? Heading up there with a load of mates for weekend of 17th/18th Sep know any good bars? I hear there are plenty by quayside, we are staying at Hilton. Cheers mate).
I used to love the smell of Jet-A in the morning...

Rick767, yeah, been out in NCL a few times. The quayside is probably the best bit (if you dont drunkenly fall in the Tyne )
But there are also a few good spots in the actual city centre.
When you hear the noise of the Tartan Army Boys, we'll be coming down the road!

Hi all,
It´s really good news to have more services into Valencia. It´s an expanding airport and a very good alternative to the over-crowded airport of Alicante. From the UK there currently are flights 2x BA from Gatwick, 1x IB from Heathrow, 1x ThomsonFly from Coventry and 1x Air Berlin from Stansted via Palma. The new easyJet services are quite nice. Another new airline that brought a boost to VLC is vueling.com, that started flying from BCN and VLC on 1 July and are already expanding.
VLC at the moment has a terminal with 4 fingers, and the rest are apron stands where pax are brought by buses. Plans are underway for expanding the terminal and runway.
Greetz,
Levent
PS: I´m new on Airliners.net forums, by the way...
