UA 737 With All Y Layout

I noticed a UA 737 flying DEN-ORD today as flight 254 with an all coach layout. It is a 737-300 listed as having a Y156 layout. Is this a sign of things to come? It's the first one I've seen.

Very interesting...It's either a mistake in the computer system, or perhaps a test to see what the future holds. They did that with buy on board, and now it's a reality.

I was looking to list on a flight home today, when I came across that one. I called Res. to ask about it, but they too were surprised at what they were seeing. I could have gotten on it, but with a nice widebody leaving a few hours later with F Class and Dinner, you can guess which flight I picked Big grin

Normally when they sub an aircraft it will show as a sub in the computer. This one didn't. So I'm not sure what was going on.

It was a TED....no UA 737's have been reconfigured to all Y class.

When an aircraft is subbed, the ops agent or IOMs need to change out the seat mask. There is no way you could fit 156 people in a UAL737, maybe a NWA DC-9 but not one of our 37's. Smile

Aircraft sub from a 737 to an A32S (#4965). Happens a lot, but when you use weblist, it shows the original aircraft type, only with the new config.
