Oakland Center put in new software last night for flight planning and it doesn't seem to be working. As of 700a local, all flights at SFO are on ground stop. Only 1 or 2 planes have made it airborne. Delays right now expected to be at least 30 min. For Alaska Air Group, the 630a QX flight to PDX is holding short of the runway with engine off, the 700-710 SEA and YVR flights are on gate hold till unknown time. Keep you all advised!

No kidding. I hear there are about 25-30 planes sitting out there. The ones that pushed before it crashed (again ). Ugly in Oakland and San Jose also!

Uh oh, Swanwick all over again. It wasn't IBM who wrote the software, perchance?
