I remember a couple months back, I kept hearing about Comair opening up a new crew base. Some rumors I heard with this were RDU, which is don't totally see eye to eye with, and DFW. My question is with Delta restructuring, how could this affect Comair's decision with DFW. I could see where it could help with more regional jet than mainline if Delta decided to go that route. Any speculation is welcomed.

Comair's current presence @ DFW is very small, 1 CVG-DFW-CVG flight a day. Their presence @ DFW pretty much disappeared as a result of the Comair pilot's strike a few years back. ASA and Skywest are the primary Delta Connection carriers @ DFW. If DFW was to be shuttered as a DL/DC hub, perhaps Comair ops in the NE would be switched over to ASA and Comair moves into SLC as a hub, or maybe ASA moves into SLC as a hub.

From what I read in other forums, the NE (JFK) base wasn't going to work due to expenses. The bases in running was RDU and DFW.. depending on the announcement on wednesday, it should be interesting to see what is going to happen...
