Air France B1900D In OKC?

I was looking around on Ebay, and found a picture of an Air France B1900D parked in OKC. I then looked here in our database, and there were no pictures of it(its registration is N22841), so I went to www.jetphotos.net, and there were two pictures of it there, still in AF colors, and the only thing it said about it was that it was damaged in a tornado in May of 2003. Does anyone know what it was doing here in the states? Was it being delivered to an American airline, or being returned to its owner, or what? Thanks in advance.  Smile

Some of the Air France Be1900Ds, when returned to lessor, made their way to Oklahoma City-Wiley Post Airport (PWA). Numerous Be1900s are/were stored there.

I fly out of Wiley Post all the time and see several of those Air France-esq B1900s at the south end of the field. No idea why but they are there, I can confirm it.

Plenty of old Air Jamaica props at Will Rogers also.

Lot of United Express props into OKC too.

The Alitalia MD-80 looks like it's going to be a long-term resident at OKC. I noticed last week its windows were taped up.

There are all sorts at will rogers now . I saw the kerry-edwards 727 a while back (after they got a newer plane), and more unmarked Shorts arrived.
