Does anyone know what Piedmont had planned for their European service before the US "merger"? They ordered 12 (I think) 762ER's, had taken delivery of 4 (again, I think) and had started CLT-LGW service prior to the takeover. What other city pairs were planned? Did they plan to buy any more 767's or any other widebodies?

I remember Frankfurt appearing as a route in the map in the in-flight magazine. I used to fly Piedmont F.28s from Rochester to New York City a lo9t in the '80s. Maybe the map was simply overoptimistic.
