I am on my way to far-east (Seoul) and decided to try Asiana. Is it really true, that they have 34" pitch in the economy? Cannot find any information from their own website.
There has been also several comments about their service, that seems to be good (or even excellent). Has anybody been on their 74E or 744 recently (in economy)? Impressions, feelings, thoughts? Seems, that they lack PTV-s, but the alternative would have been LH 346

Yes, Asiana offers a 34" seat pitch, on 747-400s and 777-200ERs (767s are 32" in Y). Service is excellent, and the flight attendants are always friendly, and willing to help. Asiana was 3rd place for Skytrax's "Best Cabin Crew 2003 & 2004". First place was MH and second place was TG, for this year.
Seats, IFE etc may be slightly outdated, but the great service makes up for it.
If you need to have PTVs on your flight, Asiana may be still be operating their Sunday flight to LHR with a 777. I am not sure if it's a charter, or if it is still operating.
Hope this helps.
