This is great news both for ZW and YOW. UAX will supplement AC's YOW-ORD flights for a total of 6x daily. AC will cut one YOW-ORD flight to make way for UA. Hopefully we'll see UAX fly the YOW-IAD too alongside AC and maybe someday far away YOW-DEN will be flown.

Although I'm always glad to see new airlines flying into YOW, I'm actually really surprised by this announcement. I would expect AC to potentially pull out of this route altogether to redeploy their RJ's on other routes. If AC were to stay on this route there would be a combined 9-10 flights a day between AC-UA-AA to ORD.

Are there any AC connecting opportunities available in YOW which are not available or not as readily available in YYZ or YUL? This seems like a more O&D centered service than YYZ.

While ORD-YOW is far more O&D reliant than ORD-YYZ or YUL-YYZ, there are some connecting opportunities through YOW to places such as YQB and YHZ.
