Hey,
Weather tends to be extremely lousy in November in GVA though end of October always seems to be good, so you may be lucky.
In terms of places to eat if runway 05 is in use you've got a Carrefour next door (super market), if 23 is in use you'll have to go back to the terminal (5 minute bus ride).
Geneva has a single runway which is 05/23, 23 being the runway which is used most.
I happen to have November 1st off and should be in town, I'd more than gladly give you a tour of the airport. Feel free to contact me by email...
