Does anybody know if there is a Virgin Flight from LHR to NYC with an A340-600? If so, which flight number is it and at what time does it leave LHR?

Thanks.

I think sometimes the VS003 at 14:00pm BST is an A340-600, but sometimes it seems to be a 744.

VS 9 LHR-JFK 1815-2110 Daily
VS 10 JFK-LHR 2310-1050+1 Daily

Vs does a lot of flippety flop with fleet assignments, but I flew the 346 on VS9 in May. It was scheduled as a 346 when I booked it three months before, became a 343 the week before, then was flipped back to a 346 the same day.

Indeed VS does flip aircraft types at the last minute. I've had that happen three times for me, once they even brought a 747-200 to EWR. However, there is a daily A346 frequency scheduled to JFK, don't quite remember exactly which flight. But, one of these long ladies was sitting at JFK when I passed by last Monday, parked next to a company 744.

cheers

hey

the 346 always opperates the 11:10 flight out of JFK. It arrives at around 9-11 in the morning. I was very excited to see it but now i see it all the time there... I want the 343s back!! I like to see the IB 346 more at MAD though..

This is how the VS NYC schedule usually looks:
EWR
VS001/2 744
VS017/18 343

JFK
VS003/4 744
VS009/010 346 or 343
VS045/46 (it has been almost every type, fairly evenly lately)

I believe that JFK has guaranteed UCS service, hence the lact of 343s unless they are being used as a substitute.

I've had that happen three times for me, once they even brought a 747-200 to EWR.
Was this recent (past year or two)?

Can 346s be parked at the T4 stands? In my experience, VS usually has the 346 come in to JFK and leave shortly after, while the 744 spends a few hours on stand.

I was very excited to see it but now i see it all the time there... I want the 343s back!!
There are still plenty of chances to see it as EWR (and other cities), not to mention LHR.

Can confirm that VS009/VS010 gets the 346. I'm on 009 tomorrow and I have double confirmed with Virgin. Also all JFK flights have UCS, although they reserve the right to swap aircraft, so I guess you can't say all with total certainty. Unlikely to not be 346 in September tho as it is the busiest month of the year for business travel on this route. I'd be very annoyed if I have to get on a 343.
