Wow, if this is true it is definately good news. Their route structure is horrible. Unless you are going to dulles.

Horrible? How so? It's a pretty good system at this point, for a one hub airline. Sure it's not much use if you're going from SFO-LAX, but then neither is NW CO DL US FL B6 F9 TZ etc...

Next Up: STL-TPA-BWI-PWM-BWI-STL

While I would love to see service n/s from Tampa to those cities, I am wondering the accuracy of your statement. I can see it though with rjs, now all they need is employees to get this show on the road. Also, looking at the list they compete with DL on the one route to Greensboro.

I think it is interesting that DH is choosing to compete with DL on several Florida routes but so far has avoided competition with US in CLT. While DL isn't in such hot shape either, US would certainly be the easier major to tangle with. I wonder if this is a gate space issue at CLT. Today's news could certainly take care of any problem that exists.

ERJ170, maybe once MSY gets going we'll see Independence start RDU-MSY. Hopefully they'll get down here before too long. United really gouges people going from here to Dulles.

Next trip: MSY-SEA-GEG-SEA-LWS-BOI-PDX-SEA-LAS on AS

The first Airbus city will if course be MCO followed by TPA and then to the west coast from there. Hopefully they will be able to compete against Ted and DL from MCO and TPA. And from Song out of MCO to LAX. Just a thought.

Oh great thats what we all need is more cancer! These LCC's are destroying this industry...Oh sure some snotty noised 2o year old will say great IFE, cheap fairs....But it sucks!

Just like wallmart and this president we have, our economy is never going to get better with wallmart and LCCs around! Minimum wage and low pay is never going to life the USA up to the greatness it deserves!

To the US people, My thoughts an prayers are with you right now...Good luck!

Iairallie

I give you time until you will want more money. I give you time until you are realizing, that your worth more. You will wake up one day, and demand that you deserve respect and money, yet your company will say differently!

I also give you time when your company will be out of money..your burning money like crazy.....Good luck!

NWAFA- It doesn't really matter what the company says we're union which means they have to negotiate. In fact we are in negotiations right now and things are looking pretty nice from where I sit. I stand by my previous statement. If there was no demand there would be no LCC's.

I say:
P2P
MCO:
FLL, JAX
TPA:
FLL, JAX, GSO, MCO

Airbus:
1 TPA
2 MCO
3 FLL JAX or LAX

Hey, the airline exectutive in my head is liking it! Isn't that all that counts?

25 MSYtristar : NWAFA - That's a pretty poor attitude to have wouldn't you say? I'm surprised someone with your experience wouldn't have a better understanding of whe
26 Njdevilsin03 : I find it kinda interesting that FLy i hasn't said much bout FLL yet.
27 PilotNtrng : Major Indy announcement here in TYS later on today Sept 13. From what I have heard. New service to MCO,TPA and eventually airbus service to LAX. Sweet
28 Kcrwflyer : tys to lax? wow. Is there hope for Crw-mco?
29 COEWR : I can't wait for the MCO service! U3k320 says their route structure is horrible? I don't agree with that. Living on the East Coast and commuting regul
30 PilotNtrng : Kcrwflyer, I wouldn't doubt it. DL and DH are biting each others heads off here in TYS, competing over some Florida markets. I would say CRW would be
31 Kim777fan : Low-cost segments hardly destroy an industry. Motel 6 didn't exactly do away with Ritz Carlton, Intercontiental, or Four Seasons. Hyundai hasn't exact
32 HlywdCatft : I wish Indy Air would start serving DAB so we'd have more than just Delta and Continental here.
33 ERJ170 : According to USAToday... Independence Air has a press conference scheduled for 1 p.m. ET today, where the airline is expected to announce its first co
34 NWAFA : MSYtristar, your comment : During my tenure with NWA, How does a 20 year have "tenure". LOL! 20 year olds are willing to work for peanuts...most of yo
35 All4BWI : HlywdCatft, I second that notion for DAB service!
36 Post contains images Hannigan : Just wait until you guys see the fare with the Airbus...
37 MSYtristar : NWAFA, tenure is defined as "the term during which some position is held". There are other definitions of course. Even though my time at NWA was limit
38 Kcrwflyer : Pilotntrng, I was thinking the same thing. DL carries almost all of our traffic to MCO. our of the 5 Rj's to ATL, ied say at least 2 are full of folks
39 DCA-ROCguy : Just a couple of side observations. Looks like Independence Air lucked out by waiting til late fall to move into Florida in a big way. During the summ
40 ERJ170 : correct.. only WN.. however, DL just took on WN with 2 daily to TPA... and DL has no competition to FLL (AE only on weekend) so they are charging out
41 Kcrwflyer : With the type of market that RDU is, Im confident theyll get their chance.
42 Flyibaby : Okay, I've said this time and time again. Don't expect any new flight out of RDU ANYTIME soon. Midway rarely made a profit on MSY. It just isn't a big
43 ERJ170 : Well, I guess that answers that.. Good luck to IDE at RDU.. I'm sure they will do well.
44 Post contains images Womack17 : Flyibaby - By your last post it sounds as if you hate RDU which you and I both know couldn't be further from the truth. Spray a little sunshine up our
45 ERJ170 : Hahaha! Heck No! Seems a degree isn't quite as fulfilling as I thought it was! But I'm working on it! 6 figures? I wish... Anyway, welcome back Womack
46 Womack17 : You caught me off guard. Has Frontier started service out of RDU?
47 ERJ170 : OOps... Changed F9 to FL...
48 Uadc8contrail : FLYIBABY,, please update your feelings about working for fun VS working to support your family in 5-10 years. im sure you will be singing a different
49 Womack17 : ERJ170 - Bummer you got me all excited. I thought I was finally getting the option of a big boy jet nonstop to Denver.
50 ERJ170 : HaHa! Sorry for that, ole chap!
51 MAH4546 : Surprisingly they don't run RDU-FLL--why not? No other LCC does right now. Southwest hasn't been able to build a large customer base in South Florida
52 ERJ170 : This is the reasoning of why they are willing to go head to head with DL and not WN right now. We aren't competing against the legacy's, we are compet
53 Kcrwflyer : If indy did foy CRW p2p (another market eith little LCC service dominated by delta) where would they fly to ? Ied say MCO.
54 FlyIGuy : The news on LAX is that we will not be serving it for a while for two reasons. First Indy was denied a slot at LAX thats why it was pulled off the car
55 MAH4546 : First Indy was denied a slot at LAX thats why it was pulled off the careers list, That is not true. LAX is slotless.
56 FlyIGuy : MAH4546 - When I mean Slot I mean Gate Slot, not Flight Slot. Sorry for the confusion. Just My 2 Cents FlyIGuy
