Last time I spotted at SFO the KLM flight was a 777 as well, and that was in July.

I did actually wind up camcording (it was 16x max-but still close and clear) that take off from 1-R. I wasn't using a tripod, so it was a little shaky (though not too much), and there is a lot of wind noise too (gee, what's new with SFO???), but one can definitely hear the thrust of the 777 beauty and see it roll off 1-R......beauty!!!!!
The only think I need to do is convert it to digital (I was using an old "Hi-8" camcorder-but the footage is very clear))and upload it to some website along with some other footage I have..that being said the KLM 777 take off is defintely the best one I have!!

Okay Fella's,
From what I know and have seen in the CRS, this winter (Starting oct.31st) KLM will fly the 6 weekly AMS-SFO (daily except Tuesdays) with the MD11 until Jan.30th. Starting Jan.31st they will use the 777 on all the flights! And hopefully, next summer it will be a daily service....
FJWH!
The 3 names you're missing are ....
PH-BQH Hadrian's Wall
PH-BQI Igaucu Park
PH-BQK Kilimajaro Park
I don't think they'll be using the registration PH-BQJ.

I chatted with a KLM Regional Manager who was walking around Bayshore Park right by SFO one noon this week and he mentioned KLM is retiring the MD-11s which will go to FedEx.

I think it's already too late for you, but I will look tonight at my work which plane will fly the KL663 this Sunday...

Employees of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol have access to the information system CISS (Central Information System Schiphol). It's possible to see all flights from all airlines.
Leamside:
KLM isn't going to get ride of the MD-11 the next years. Till 2012 the MD-11 will fly in KLM's fleet. What's for sure is that KLM will get ride of two B763 by the end of this year. These planes will go back to the leasing company. Which two (registrations) that are, is unknown yet.

...talking of KLM B777. Any chances KLM might bring it into MSP instead of their daily MD-11 ??? Would be great to see this plane here !

Thanks SPL. I got a decent shot of 'BZA' today. Was hoping for BZI or BZK. Perhaps next Friday or Sunday. I also sent you another e-mail, so check that. Thanks again

Flyhigh69,
No bluebird 777s anytime soon in MSP. This summer KLM operated a MD11 into MSP, but starting Oct.31st the flight will be shifted to NW, bringing the total to 3 daily NW DC10s. Two of them are actually continuing to Bombay as NW re-starts the second daily AMS-BOM flight!
And fellow country man SPL/Martijn,
Are you sure KLM whil phase out its 763s THIS year? According to the winterschedule the 767s are still planned for flights to Newark, Washington/Dulles, Vancouver, Atlanta, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Kuwait, Almaty, Tehran, Abuja, Kano, Malabo, Montreal, Dammam and Doha. Should I go on?
I know the 332s should be arriving next year, but that's gonna take a while, hey!

SPL,
Did they still not replace CISS? I worked at Schiphol between 1999 and 2001 on the project that was later cancelled to replace CISS, called Fis2000, it never worked out with SwITch.

Yep, CISS is still THE flight information system at Schiphol. I know they wasted lots of money with trying to get a better new system, but eventually they made the CISS 3 system! Which we work now with, without any problems by the way!!!
Robin:
The information I got is that two B763's will be returned to the leasing company by the end of this year... But maybe I'am wrong...
