I noticed that Virgin 319P an A340 arrived DTW today around 2:15pm to pick up the players from the RyderCup, but when does that flight leave? I wasn't able to come up with anything. I'm sure the Europeans will be happy on their flight back.

considering VS doesn't fly to DTW, wouldn't it be expensive? I could see them getting some "free" advertising out of it..but would it be worth it?

Or are they going to be paid/reimbursed somehow?

Am I missing something here?

Its a sponsorship deal, VS are the official airline of the European team.

There were lots of press pictures of the plane when the team left, and I would have thought they'd be a camera crew on the plane on the way back.

The flight is being flown as a charter (G-VFOX flew them out).

Landing is due to be live on Sky News at "about" 8:30pm local - worth a watch!
