Saw couple DH movements in and out of EWR last Saturday (Sept 18) whilst wandering around after the Airliner Show. Was curious about them now that they're "independent" of Delta. Even picked up a timetable.
I'm considering taking a ride on them EWR-IAD for shiz n giggles, nothing more than to visit the Udvar-Hazy center without having to drive and park, etc.
Anyone care to comment on their experience with them?

I agree, but keep in mind, Independence is new, so we have to prove ourselves to quell all the cheap shots.
Go ahead and try it. What do you have to lose? As employees we can only preach so much about how good we try to be to all of our passengers. It's up to everyone to actually try and experience our brand of service. (But I think you will like it, we try and make everything fun.)

Flew on 9/17, and 9/20 (tonight) BDL-IAD-RDU, right before a tornado touched down on the airport! Was scary coming in, like a roller coaster ride :P Then I learned that the parking garage roof skylight was ripped off, windows shattered, something about insulation being ripped off a wall, and a few cessna's were flipped over on the tarmac. Also seeing the "I" CRJ backed up away from the terminal on the news, that was cool. Glad no one was hurt! Oh yeah Indy, nice airline.. You've got a frequent flier here now..

yeah Mikester, one of IA's RJ's sustained serious rudder damage during the 90+ mph winds recorded at RDU on that day. It might have been the RJ you came in on. Anyway, I heard it was AOG in RDU for a few days after that for parts from Bombardier.
