Does anybody know if Delta will come back and fly Stockholm/Arlanda to New York someday? And what about American Airlines between Stockholm and Chicago? It would be nice to see some American airlines here in Sweden again.

regards

MH currently does ARN-EWR as part of their KUL-ARN-EWR service, but that's as for service from Sweden to the US.

I belive that Continental's daily service EWR to Oslo, Norway is the only service by US airlines to Scandinavia.

That's interesting that CO serves Oslo, rather than ARN or CPH.

Maybe we may see CO, DL and NW placing their codes on MH90/91 in the near future?

I remember when SAS dropped the route. They stated that
it was due to low revenue.

They do have a daily SEA flight and I thought they were going to start service to SFO???

Cheers.

The staple of ORD-ARN has always been SAS and IMO will always be. I doubt that any US-based carrier would touch this route anytime soon. Certainly not UA... who feeds Stockholm bound passengers from the south and midwest on this route.

Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

I doubt that Delta will start flying to ARN. They simply wouldnt make any money on that route.

You are right Heisan. OSL is the only city CO serves. And I don't think they will serve any other Scandinavian city.

I remember when SAS dropped the route. They stated that
it was due to low revenue.

This was the reason. Since they also had SEA there were no meaning to have LAX when other partners like LH were flying that route.

They do have a daily SEA flight and I thought they were going to start service to SFO???

They have talked about it for several years now. And I know it will happen. But the question is when? They have planned to start it a couple of years ago but it would be from CPH and not ARN. But then the attack of 9/11 came. And as we all now the loads and the yields fell. So SAS postponed it.

Less competition since the other routes are already served.
