Mexico From UK On 757....

Flying with flying colors to Mexico on a 757, been given a 10 hour flight time??? Surely there is a fuel stop in this flight time even though the ticket says a direct flight???? Help !!! Don't fancy sitting on a cramped 757 for 10 hours,,,,, Sad

Are you sure its flying colors, as they were merged with caledonian to form JMC which is now thomas cook.

Ringway, who has told you a 757? I wasn't aware that Thomas Cook did long haul flights with their 757s, apart from the ones for Canadian Affair on the specially configured 757s. Could be an A330?

Direct actually doesn't mean nonstop. For a full explanation:

nonstop: nonstop
direct: same plane, one or more stops
connecting: two or more planes.

A 757 would definitely need a fuel stop, probably in Canada rather than the US (since the final destination is not in the US). And don't expect an A330 or 767 to be any less cramped than a 757, it's all about the seat pitch, not the number of aisles etc. In fact a 757 would be preferable cos there won't be so many of you (a) trying to board or (b) get through immigration or (c) fight it out at baggage claim.

Unless there is something in the pipeline I haven't been told about, (which is quite possible!!) We have never operated the CUN flight with a 757!! and have no intention to do so.

The flight will be operated by an A330.

That is unless you booked with a Thomas Cook shop and are not necessarily flying with Thomas Cook Airlines.
