For Immediate Release:

SeaCoast grows to The Palm Beaches

Key West, Florida 24 September 2004– SeaCoast Airlines today announces their newest destination: West Palm Beach International Airport. Service will commence in early November with nonstop service from Key West International Airport and St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport. Flights will operate as shared charters, which means the airline can add or decrease flights based on demand.

Flights will depart Key West early afternoon for a scenic 1 hour 15 minute flight across the Florida Bay then across The Everglades to West Palm Beach International Airport. Flights will continue to operate out of Island City Flying Service, offering a relaxing environment while passengers await their flight. In West Palm Beach, SeaCoast will use the new and multi-million dollar Galaxy Aviation Center, located on the south end of the airport, bypassing the busy & congested terminal on the north end. Planes will stop in Marathon if passengers prefer to visit the Middle Keys. Flights between St. Petersburg/Clearwater will depart from SeaCoast’s terminal at the Air-1 facility, located just south of the main terminal.

“This is a natural step for SeaCoast. Our business has been focused on providing safe & on-time flights in Florida to markets with little or no air service,” says Nathan Vallier, Sales Director for the airline, “The Palm Beaches presently have no non-stop air service to the Keys OR St. Petersburg and our service will provide time-sensitive vacationers a new option compared to the 7+ hour drive!”.

Fares start as low as $99 each way plus taxes from Palm Beach to Key West and $75 between Palm Beach and St. Petersburg. Keys residents may purchase tickets starting at $89 each way plus taxes. SeaCoast is also offering a “Friends Fly For a Buck” in which one person pays the full fare – one way ticket and they can bring a friend for just $1 each way!

Passengers traveling to the Keys from Palm Beach will also be able to get lower fares thru SeaCoast Vacations, a new and exciting division of SeaCoast Airlines. Passengers will be able to purchase air, hotel, car rental, and activities all in one simple phone call, or by going online.

“SeaCoast Vacations is where our business base should be,” says Vallier, “as our focus has always been dedicated to bringing people to the Keys. SeaCoast Vacations will now allow the airline to offer services to markets that presently are not served by any airline – scheduled or charter – from Key West and Marathon.”

SeaCoast Airlines, based at St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport in Tampa Bay, offers ‘flightseeing adventures’ for travel between Tampa Bay & Zephyrhills to the Florida Keys. Passengers can learn more about SeaCoast by visiting http://www.seacoastairlines.com & may book by calling 1-866-30-Coast, visit your local travel agent, or book online at www.seacoastairlines.com later this month!

Rumor mill up here on the First Coast is that they may be adding St. Augustine as well. It would certainly be great to have service out of that airport.... here on the southside of Jacksonville it's just as convenient as Jacksonville's own airport!

Sounds like a great service. They will have a guaranteed customer in me if they offer morning and evening PBI-PIE/return service. Does anyone know if that is planned?

If we ever upgrade to scheduled, I'm sure we'll have morning & evening flights in both directions.

spent 2 years in revenue management/sales and finished out as the interline manager... just felt it was time to move on.

We're also going to be adding Kissimmee to Key West sometime around the New Year's, focusing on the vacation product. The day trippers & 2 night stays in Key West is where our future is, not in trying to become a scheduled airline.

FYI, the airport is "Palm Beach International Airport," not "West Palm Beach International Airport."  Big grin Not that it matters much, but it should be correct in a press release, after all.

I noticed that after I sent it out, which I think the hurricane has probably dwarfed the news, so the news agencies probably didn't read it, but I'll resubmit this release on Wednesday & have that fixed. I also need to make sure that Galaxy survived this last one OK, I heard that JetAviation took some major damage (million$).

Hope some of you can support our new service!

jet aviation did sustain major damage but galaxy seemed to make it out alright.
