US Chapt7 And MESA.. What Next?

Question for the Mesa folks
Since US is the major flag you fly under what kind of talk are you hearing if they indeed go chapter 7? Do you repaint the fleet and fly the routes as Mesa (essentially taking a route like Independence) or is there another code share partner in mind? I worked for Florida Gulf way back when and am curious to the direction the company will take.

Mesa is a separate company, and USAir is only one of its partners. From their website:

Thanks for the cut and paste but I understand how the company is structured (since, as I stated before, I worked for them for a few years). My question is directed to the US portion of their operation.. If Us goes chapt 7 what is the plan, fly under the Mesa colors on the same routes or something else?

Good Question, but I would also like to know if HP intends to stay with
Mesa after thier contract is up with them. They really give HP a black eye with their reliability etc.

We have been hearing that if US goes under there is another airline that wants us to fly for them, but we have not been told the name yet, but it is contingent on US going under. All we will do is put a fresh coat of paint on the planes and go fly for the other carrier that wants us. There is also the possibility of putting some of the planes over to the UAX/HPX side and fly for them. Yes our contract will be renewed with HP. We have a great working relationship with them and now that they have made some changes on the operations side in PHX the service will get much better.
