Sorry but i don't believe the man who took the picture than can you please post a link of the photo?
the first KLM MD-11 is due to retire in 2012, maybe its just 1 of the 2 proposed MD-11's to be converted, but its very unlikely since the article about the KLM conversion for MP was about 2 years ago and never was official

I have just talked to a KLM MD-11 captain and he told me they expect the MD-11 to be in service until 2012. Sounds really long, probably the fleet will be slighty reduced in the coming years until the final end.
Maybe PH-KCB is out for a D-check?

- Aruba (5 weekly)
- Bonaire-Guayaqil-Quito (5 weekly)

Starting this winter, at some point the Delhi, San Francisco and Lagos flights will be replaced by the 777.
On Vanvouver and Montreal, the MD11 is downsized to a 767.
On the daily AMS-Kilimanjaro-Dar-Es-Salaam-AMS flight, the MD11 will replace the 767.
The MD11 is also new this winter to Accra, and the 3rd daily AMS-MSP run will be handed over to Northwest.
Nairobi still has a mix of 777s, 767s and MD11s.
