I've seen a Korean Air 737 delivered in Boeing house color similar to this one below. So will this be THE c/s delivered from Boeing? Wondering what the deal is... such as an airline getting discount for advertising for Boeing? Or is it just a paint option? Are they going to be repainted by the airlines?

It's for advertising the 7E7... Don't you think that Boeing is doing much more advertising on this aircraft than others it has worked on? Is it because it fears it will not have a success similar to that of the 767 and 777s? Or is it that the competition's products are considered better, since they have been tried and tested.

agree on advertising and that there might a little insecurity going on in Seattle (or Chicago). but what do the airlinese get in return and how long do they have keep paint?

I doubt that is the case. Whenever someone comes out with a new, revolutionary product they will want to advertise it. Also keep in mind that this is the new house livery for Boeing. These colors fly on 747, 737, 7E7, etc.

Here ya go...

This will be the standard color scheme now and will replace the blue stripes livery.

It is an okay scheme, but as an American and Boeing being an American corporation, I'd still prefer the red, white and blue livery.

What;s so revolutionary about the 7E7? Composite material - done by Airbus, and touted by boeing back then, as was fly-by-wire which Boeing ended up incorporating after Airbus. What's so new about the Dreamliner (please don't tell me that fuel efficiency is it, cause that is a selling point for any airliner)
