Heard a rumour that Aeropostal (Venezuela) is getting 6 Dorneir 328-100 turboprops. Anyone able to confirm?

Not bad - 6+6 Dornier 328-100 for a new customer. Seems that there is a small high for the D38 at the moment, with Central Mountain Air taking two (see relevant topic), Sun Air adding 8 D38 - and apparently taking 2 options on the 328JET.

Is the Dornier 328-100 turboprop still under production?

Unfortunately not - production was cheased under Fairchild-Dornier days. However AvCraft has purchased all rights associated with the Dornier 328-100 series (and - of course - for the 328JET).

Easiest guess is Debis Air Finance who is remarketing the ex-Air Wisconsin frames and IIRC - the ex-PSA International ones as well, a total of about 40 frames. Plenty to choose from. But could get tighter from what I´ve heard as two larger orders are negotiated AFAIK.

But for VH every thing sounds as if the deal is done. They say they receive the first aircraft (6) by the end of October and start in November.
How old are the aircraft on the market ?
