IB Operating 4 BA Operated Flights MAD-LHR To T1?

I just been looking to book LHR-MAD on Wednesday and I noticed on the BA website that it appears that Iberia are operating two of the scheduled BA flights per day between LHR & MAD that are described on the website as being: "Iberia on Behalf of BA From Term1". These are over and above their own scheduled flights to terminal 2.

The flights in question are:

BA0455 08:00 MAD-LHR
BA0464 12:05 LHR-MAD
BA0465 16:30 MAD-LHR
BA0462 19:35 LHR-MAD

Can anyone confirm this arrangement? Are BA short of aircraft? Are Iberia aircraft actually going to T1 now? Is this another step closer to merger or is it simply a charter arrangement to cover for aircraft shortages?

Can anyone shed any light?

A

They are BA flights, but on wet leased IB planes with the IB product onboard.

And yes, all as a result of the sodding aircraft problems at LHR!

" with the IB product onboard" so that means paying for food and drink in economy?

So what are the sodding aircraft problems at LHR? I thought the problems were staff based?
