Tomorrow Charlotte gets a major relaxing of the stranglehold US has had
on the city for years. The number of cities served with lower cost fares begins tomorrow when Independence begins their service. (While ATA serves Charlotte with a few flights each day-the coverage of lower cost fares has been minimal) AS Flyi expands, so too will the relief in lower cost fares expand.

I'm sure this has been discussed before or at least mentioned, but is FlyI planning on changing (or trying to change) their code from DH?

SunValley,
Exactly what is your point? ATA offers nearly twice as many seats per day to Chicago from CLT compared to DH to IAD.

Jjbiv, my point is that ATA serves aprox 14 destinations that are plausible from CLT as most won't want to connect thru MDW to go to Florida. I has about 5 times that many cities.

Re TZ at CLT: CLT-CHI is the route I most frequently travel. I think that TZ could benefit from smaller a/c and more frequencies on the route. UA and US both offer more daily flights and similar or lower prices, and that has deterred me from using TZ in the past. If TZ could run a 120 seat a/c to CLT 6x daily, they would have similar capacity in the market (700 now vs. 720 with that arrangement) and would be much more competitve.
