Great news for IND, although I'm not certain that the new capacity is really needed, its good to see. Another thing I'd like to see is a NW-dominated new terminal!

Uh... where have you people been? They announced the IND focus city in July. They're doing this to capture more revenue in the heartland. Just as they have with their MKE focus city as well as other hearltand markets. 10/31 will see service in addition to MSP, MEM and DTW to BOS, PHL, LGA, DCA, BDL, RDU, LAX, LAS, RSW, TPA and MCO. If you do a search, you'll find a lot of discussion on this.

I get the feeling if TZ gets out of the scheduled business, as rumors have been going, several of these destinations will get more flights.
IND-RDU has been needed for a long time, just for the Eli Lilly traffic if nothing else. The Triangle and Indy have several ties in the Biotech industry.
