Former Qantas New Zealand 737-300 ZK-CZR is scheduled to leave Christchurch, NZ at 1800 local today (9th) for Pago Pago and onward to Mexico on delivery to Azteca. Crews have been staged along the way so expect it to be in Mexico real soon!
ZK-CZS is still air-testing at Christchurch but will be following in its sisters' footsteps soon too.

Sweet. I hope they will be more competitive and able to create brand awareness in the Mexican market now that they are enlarging their fleet. If the new management of ZE could learn some tricks from Brazil's Gol, they might capture more market share.

Last I checked, they still fly to ONT, but I don't know about other ones. I really think their planes would look beautiful if they moved away from the white and used a gold theme (Aztec Gold) and detailed the Aztec buildings on the tail

Flight-plan was cancelled yesterday and the plane didn't get off the ground I have since been told !!
However, my contact at Christchurch has physically seen it leave there about 20 minutes ago as 1845 local as XA-UCL callsign 'LCD8001' enroute for Pago Pago, that is now confirmed!! It was sporting a lovely colourful all-white paint scheme.
