I was in ANC earlier today and was waiting to board my flight. At the N gates, I saw a plane (I'm pretty sure it was a 767, but after a long day, I can't be completely sure). This plane had no titles on it and I couldn't get a good view of the reg. The colors on it were purple on the rear 2/3 of the tail and a purple stripe going down the side of it. The rest of the plane was white. Can anybody tell me what plane that was?

These are the only "purple" tail 767s, or close to that color, in
ANC that comes to mind:

If Continental had a hub at DFW with nonstop flights I would always fly them, unfortunantely good things take time.

Hawaiian usually parks on the B gates, not the N gates at the international terminal.

Just looking at all of the departures out of ANC over the last 24 hours, the only thing that jumped out at me was a North American 757 going to HNL.
Now while that certainly doesn't match the scheme listed above, they could always have leased in a plane?
I like seeing the Tradewinds 747F in service to Seoul and back out to LAX up there, a nice new goodie in ANC! And the Magadan Tu154 operated today as well, nice!

It wasn't the plane posted above. The purple was the rear part of the tail, all the way to the top of it. It was also a more of a reddish purple than that posted above. Somewhat like the purple on the top of the Hawaiian tail.

Yeah!! Crosswind winds!! It was the Sports Jet. I guess it was a 757. Dang I was sleepy not to get the plane right but in my defense, I saw it at a strange angle. Now the real question is what was it doing in ANC?

As far as I know, the Kings were on the NW DC-10 that came in yesterday Beijing-SMF which then flew down to MZJ this morning to be 'stored'. The timing could be right though I guess???

If the aircraft was at the N concourse, it could have possibly been a Delta aircraft in transitional painting. Delta operates off the N concourse and does operate 767s to Anchorage. Also, it is not entirely unrealistic, depending on lighting and distance, to not tell the difference between blue and purple, especially if you are a guy. (sorry...but colorblindness is more prevalent in men than women). I am colorblind just enough that I cannot tell between colors, e.g. red orange, blue purple (at distance), green from brown.
Its just a guess.
