Folks,

I don't know if it's of interest but with my experience of aircraft crossing the N Atlantic, Uzbek 757's aren't common.

I'm showing 'UZB3520' B752 currently half way across the Pond enroute from New York JFK to Rome FCO. Might be something of interest?

Cheers,

Maybe a VIP flight for the Uzbek government? Just a guess.

If it's a VIP flight for the Uzbek government, FCO sounds like an awfully southern fuel stop.

Uzbekistan Airways have just taken up the lease of an ex-American Airlines/TWA B757, VP-BUH ex N726TW.

Could this have been the delivery flight?

Nice to see a mothballed aircraft going back into service.

Crosswind,

It wasn't VP-BUH ex N726TW as that was delivered Victorville-JFK-Tashkent 27-28 September 04.

Are they due further 757's then ?

I would be tempted to say that it was thesame aircraft on a charter flight for example but the fact it's originated at Goodyear doesn't really add up.

I believe AA parks some planes at Goodyear, so it is possible they have bought another PW powered 757 from AA. Good choice of aircraft for their geography

One of my sources says they're due two more, ex N719TW (tbr VP-BUI) and ex N724TW (tbr VP-BUJ) so I'm guessing it will be one of those.

Saw it today at JFK; Its VP-BUI.

Looked pretty good - even though a cloud popped up at the last moment..  Angry
