FX flies the DC10 and/or the MD10 into DEN. As for photo spots, there is a road that goes behind the cargo complex, but I wouldnt go there (possibly off limits and a ton of ramp junk).

The FedEx DC-10 is a regular visitor. Hardly ever an MD-11 from them.

Martinair flew quite a few MD-11 flights into Denver in the late 1990s.

I just saw an L1011 at a cargo building last Friday morning.

Other than this info. . .not much else I'm afraid.

Slightly off topic but at the end of the DC-10 era with American, they used to run some 10's on the DFW-DEN route. It was quite nice to see them dwarfing the S80's at the C Concourse.

The 10 was a great looking bird, I must say. I saw one at BOS a couple weeks ago in NW livery and she was AWESOME!! I have not seen any at DEN of late.

Its possible you could see some DC-10, if the team is using NW, sports charters from NFL teams coming into town to play the Broncos.

Of course, United used to fly DC-10s through Denver daily when they had them. Also, SkyserviceUSA used to fly DC-10s through DEN a few times weekly headed towards Hawaii with I believe, a stop at LAX.

*NWA has usually operated a 747 for their sports charters to DIA.

*Indeed, A^A operated DC-10s out of DIA up until retirement. They also operated some DC-10 flights out of old Stapleton too.

*Both Delta and TWA operated L1011s to DIA. Delta even operated the L1011 to DIA until retirement. . .and the L1011-500 too.

*ATA has had charters with their L1011 to DIA lately. . .and even back in the late 1990s when the Broncos headed to the Superbowl twice in a row.

*I forgot to mention, in the late 1990s, LTU even brought in their MD-11s sometimes. . .but it was most often a 763.

* I've even seen a World Airways MD-11 at DIA.

normally the team picks the a/c to use...sports charters have been flown on all types of a/c from the DC9 to the 744. Most NFL is now on the 757 or A320. A few years ago both the Packers and Patriots flew NW DC10s to the Super Bowl...what a great site that was.
