Hi guys,
I'm planning a spotting trip to the US next year and really want to fly on a Delta Boeing 737-200. I'm just wondering which routes they serve with the 732???
Thanks for your help.
Greetings from Hamburg

Well, I've non-revd to Richmond, VA a few times and flew on the 732...Fun little plane, quiet in the front and quite a ride in the aft!
Delta 758 8:00am Atlanta (ATL) 9:28am Richmond (RIC) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1004 2:12pm Atlanta (ATL) 3:38pm Richmond (RIC) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1432 6:47pm Atlanta (ATL) 8:23pm Richmond (RIC) Boeing 737-200
You might want to try CLE, BHM or even ORD to name a few:
Delta 1492 8:00am Atlanta (ATL) 9:42am Cleveland (CLE) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1168 11:15am Atlanta (ATL) 1:00pm Cleveland (CLE) Boeing 737-200
Delta 668 2:11pm Atlanta (ATL) 3:57pm Cleveland (CLE) Boeing 737-200
Delta 650 5:07pm Atlanta (ATL) 6:55pm Cleveland (CLE) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1586 9:30pm Atlanta (ATL) 11:09pm Cleveland (CLE) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1635 2:36pm Atlanta (ATL) 2:25pm Birmingham (BHM) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1134 4:33pm Atlanta (ATL) 4:24pm Birmingham (BHM) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1861 7:35pm Atlanta (ATL) 7:24pm Birmingham (BHM) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1626 6:50am Atlanta (ATL) 7:48am Chicago (ORD) Boeing 737-200
Delta 1193 12:47pm Atlanta (ATL) 2:01pm Chicago (ORD) Boeing 737-200
Delta 728 6:44pm Atlanta (ATL) 7:53pm Chicago (ORD) Boeing 737-200
I think DL still has about 20 of the fat boys, they're dropped in on some pretty fequent routes so it should be easy to catch a ride on one to a city you like...

I flew one in November 2001, JFK-MCO. However, I think all of those have been replace with Song 757's now.
To help to try to find routings, in A.Net's photo search page, you can search by Airline (Delta), and Type (737-200), and see what cities come up in the results.

I will be taking a Delta 732 from TPA to CVG on Nov 28. It has been a while since I have been on an older generation aircraft. It should be fun. I have a window seat behind the wing for some nice shots of the wing and engine reversing.

The 737-200 flies a LOT of routes from ATL and CVG. DL operates 52 of them, not 20. From CVG they serve:
IND, CLE, CMH, GRR, LEX, BNA, STL, MCI, MSP, MKE, ORD, ATL, BHM, MSY, TPA, MIA, RIC, DCA, PHL, EWR, ALB, HOU, AUS, SAT, GSO, and more, but I don't remember and don't feel like looking them up. There's equally as many destinations served by 732s from ATL, so you should have no trouble finding a flight.

I don't think, it will help you a lot if you research flights right now for your trip next year, because the timetable and aircraft allocation is certainly going to change a lot until you arrive in the US in 2005.

Paulianer -
Come out to Kansas City-MCI we have a few 732s in and out of here, usually 1881 inbound from CVG/outbound as 392 to CVG every day, then 230 to Atlanta in the mornings, which comes in the night before as Delta 545.
Whats to see in Kansas City? How about the Airline history Mueum

Delta's new schedule effective 01/31/05 will see the reroute of many aircraft.
At that point you can catch the 732 doing a daily ATL-GPT-ATL turn.

I took one last month ATL-GSO and am booked on one next month CVG-GSO. Basically, you can find them on many high-frequency, <500 mile routes out of both ATL and CVG.

MCI was exactly what I was thinking, I just saw one Sunday while returning my friend to the airport. I swore, also, that I saw one in MDW a couple months back, but it could have just been a replacement, so I wouldn't count on it

7x daily on CLT-ATL... That's a pretty good bet.
I'm pretty sure that MDW-ATL is all shuttle configured 738s.

I just booked myself on one from GSO to CVG yesterday...trip is on Nov. 20. I flew on one ATL-GSO on 9/12, and I am booked on one CVG-GSO in early January.

My dad is a F/O on them for DL....basically, they go anywhere that an M88 leg would go, and sometimes if the extra capacity is needed, where a CRJ would go. Nothing usually over 2 hrs though, it's alot of up-down-up-down sort of flying.
Delta still has about 50 of these beasties, there were 2 that were returned to the lessors and are sitting at MHV, the "Twisted Sisters" as they were called

MSP currently gets a fair deal of B732s (about 4/day to ATL, and 1/day to CVG). After the Delta schedule changes of 01/31/05 (the "big bang" day), I believe MSP will only receive one B732 a day. Fly on this aircraft before it gets retired from the DL fleet.

25 Upsmd11: SDF gets one that comes from CVG and then on to ATL I think... It may be reversed. SDF would be nice in the spring for the world-famous Kentucky Derby
26 DeltaRules: DL doesn't operate the 737-200 into CMH...they haven't since the DLX days. CVG-CMH or CMH-CVG's a combination of 757s, MD-88s, CRJs & ERJs. Kinda wish
27 Flyguyclt: Flying out on one in the morning at 0715 from CLT to ATL. Safe Flying
29 ILSApproach: Yeah ......................what Pilottim said............... Mike @ MSP
30 Iowa744fan: They seem to come out to SAT with some frequency. I saw one when I arrived and another one there when I left. If you like 732s, there are a few United
31 Ejmmsu: They fly them from OKC-ATL right now, although I think the OKC-ATL routes will be changed to MD-80's after the January reorganization. Also, the OKC-C
