Ryanair yesterday (19th October) gave £20,000 to its adopted school, Mountfitchet High School, which is near STN.

FR's head of communications, Paul Fitzsimmons, said:

“We are delighted to be able to offer our support to Mountfitchet High School. Our sponsorship linked seat sale was a fantastic success and we thank the 200,000 passengers who booked during the period - knowing that they would be helping our adopted school Mountfitchet High School."

The headmistress, Jo Mullis, said:

“We are delighted to have been chosen by Ryanair as their adopted school. Ryanair’s support comes at an important time, because with this help we can buy computer equipment for our pupils, which will help us to achieve our goal of becoming an IT merited school.”

Nice gesture which will gain a lot of publicity in the STN area. Good thinking on FR's part.

I don't think that's relevant in this thread; if you wish to discuss it, create another. Thanks.

It comes out of the marketing budget, so wasn't available for debt repayment.

It would have its downside, though: every employee would be able to travel so often they'd probably never turn up to work!

Slaughter you, Mr N? Nah, just force-feed you dog excrement for a year or two.  Laugh out loud
