Gunmen attacked a bus with female Iraqi Airways employees on the road linking Baghdad airport and the city.
I wonder what Iraqi Airways would do, if anything, to protect its passengers?

Levent; the matter is awful, true. BUT it is a different matter with passengers. There are thousands of cars on this road daily, and usually nothing happens. Suggest the stewardesses in future use normal motor cars. It is difficult to say what exactly was the purpose of the attack, whenever it of course can be assumed that the culprits see Iraqi Airways as something of the government.

Just read that story too. Anyone know the current load factors for Iraqi Air.

Is it still the lone 732 flying? Wish they would get some more planes airborne. Specifically the stored planes (727's) at Amman.

With the rising oil prices, maybe those 727´s are too expensive to operate...

There now are three B737 all operated by Teebah Airlines (Amman). The network however apparently still restricted to Amman and Damascus. Would recommend them to start flights to Beirut, Cairo and Dubai.
