It would be a very popular, money making route or is there somesort of deal with their partner JL. Also I want to know why GF & QR serve this popular destination. It's one market that has not been prized open (yet)

SQNo1, Tokyo/Haneda is used solely for domestic flights. There are some regional services from South Korea too (I think). Recently authorities wanted to allow the aiport to accept international charter flights but that was refuted.

EK need the longer runway to be able to conduct flights. From what I have heard they can get a slot on the shorter runway, but it will be too short for them to take off without making massive sacrefices making it virtually unprofitable. Also due to Japanese laws NRT is having trouble extending the second runway as the farmers surrounding the airport do no have to give up their land.
