Just wondering if somebody can help me with a few questions.
1.) Do they still do voluntary gate check of bags?
2.) What concourse(s) do they use at CLE for the ERJ's (I think its D or E?)?
3.) How long does it take to go from one end of the CO concourse's to the other end if I decided to take a walk?
Thanks for the help.
Hey Obama, keep the change! I want my dollar back.

Not really "voluntary". If it's a pullman, or larger bag, it get gate checked.

CO/COEX are located on Concourses C and D in CLE. D is exclusively COEX, and C is a combination of both CO mainline and COEX flights. NW also has 4 gates on C.

If you have to connect from, say C-1 to D-17, that's about a good 7 minute walk if you don't stop, and walk on (instead of standing still on) the moving walkways between C and D. I do it quite often.

One note about gate checking is that if you check something at the gate, you will be able to pick it up at the gate on your way out of the plane. You don't have to go to baggage claim to get it unless you checked it at the counter to begin with.

Cory6188 - Thanks for the note... the company I work for used to do COEX flights in and out of MSN. I just didn't remember all the rules as to when we could do "gate-checking".
Falcon84 - Great info.... I knew it was C, D, or E... lol. Sounds like I'll have a nice amount of connecting time in CLE and won't have to worry about rushing.
THANKS FOR THE INFO GUYS.

Now, one more question...... on concourse D, there are those piers, can you walk down to the end of those without having to board the plane?

Just some advice: don't looking for a concourse E-there isn't one.
As for the piers, no you can only access the piers when boarding flights, of if your inbound flight deplanes there. It's a restriscted area, which means only authorized employees or people under escort are allowed down there.
