Going to 2 Daily on NCL-CPH if loads of 65% are achieved, which should be done quite easily.

Also they are planning on opening an SAS Raddisson hotel in Newcastle.

Isn't 65% quite a low L/F target? Are yields that high on the route?

That's quick, considering the first flight is tomorrow.

Well,

It should be possible to a city like Newcastle. And especially with the aircraft they are using. They have wetleased a CRJ-200 from Cimber air on that route. And it takes 48 pax.

So I can't se any problems with adding one more flight on that route.

But start talking about a hotel already.. Hmmmm. That might be a little bit early. But if they open it I wish them all the best.

Considering the easyJet NCL-CPH flights have been running with quite high loads (something like 85-90% on a 737-700), It should be pretty easy to fill these flights, especially if the fares are quite good.
I think it may also be possible that SAS may consider adding NCL-OSL, possibly operated by Wideroe on their behalf

Just to talk about something else. But why does EZY cut this route? Is it because of the disgustingly high taxes in CPH or what?

Yes, high taxes in CPH, they also drop the BRS-CPH yet that flight was doing well also

Oh well. It's a shame that CPH can't see that they are loosing a lot of traffic because of their damn taxes.

But I hope that SAS/Cimber will have succes on that route. And if WF starts OSL - NCL I wish them the best of luck as well.
They should be able to get a good load on their aircrafts even if the price probably will be twices as high now.

Tax was a bit of the problem, but the yiled was shocking - EZY wishes that it could have hit £30 o/w, but it was below that figure.

There already is a NCL-SVG route, so why would SAS have a NCL-OSL route which Braathens proved they couldn’t make a profit on?

If SAS want to do anything clever at NCL, it would be to replace the DCH-8s in route SVG-NCL with a 737 to make the trip faster, and more comfortable when I come over for christmas. Big grin

Thom@s, a lot of people using the NCL-SVG route connect onwards to OSL.
A DHC-8 would be a good sized a/c for the route.
