Today American Airlines is inagurating new seasonal non-stop service between Miami and Manchester, UK and year-round non-stop service between Miami and St. Lucia. AA is the only carrier on both routes non-stop

Service to Manchester, UK will operate with a daily 767-300ER. The service, codeshared with British Airways, is already showing very strong bookings, with the inagural to Manchester nearly sold out, while the inagural from Manchester is nearly sold out as well, with coach booked and business class nearly booked solid. It will allow Manchester costumers easy, one-stop access to AA's Caribbean and Latin American network, and will give Miami consumers the convienence of avoiding Heathrow to make easy connections on British Airways in Manchester. AA also flies to Manchester from Chicago and, seasonally, from Boston.

Service to St. Luica will operate daily with a 737-800. This is a resumption of the route, last operate in 1999. This service welcome AA back to St. Lucia's Hewanorra airport. Currently, American Airlines offers service to St. Lucia's Vigie Field from San Juan and Canouan Island.

AA will also inagurate non-stop service from Miami to St. Kitts & Nevis on Wednesday; Montevideo, Uruguay on 17 December 2004; and Hamilton, Bermuda on 2 March 2005.

Awesome News! Glad to see the MIA-MAN service taking off with such great fan fare. Hopefully we might able to see this route go year round and lead to the further expansion of EURO routes for AA out of MIA.

Nothing better than making love at 35K Feet!

The BA codeshare is very important in making sure this route and BOS-MAN survive. Speaking of codeshare, MAH what are the chances of seeing MIA-BRU soon since AA and SN seem to be growing their relationship?
