Not that I know of but I have heard of "near hits" on the other side. I have heard of a AF 747 nailing the fence on landing. Nickname for Air France there is "Air Fence". Geeez can you imagine standing at the fence and the main gear of a 747 hitting that fence???????? good god. I think there would obviously be casualties. Can anyone give more details about this incidents I have heard of?

We did a go-around last time I flew out there (US Air PHL-SXM November 2003) - I'm guessing for traffic on the runway... we were still quite a way out when he initiated it so I don't think many pax noticed and the crew didn't feel the need to explain.
We then flew a large "standard" pattern and from the downwind I "spotted" our "company" 757 from CLT on final
