Does anyone has any idea as to why an Air Luxor A320 was in Edmonton today? I am assuming it was for a fuel stop only but the weird thing is I heard it was going up to Anchorage. Any info would be appreciated.

Funny that you mention Air Luxor, because I was checking in and over heard some pax talking about not being able to find a check in for Air Luxor or something of that sort. When I was heading over to my gate for a departure, low and behold I saw an Air Luxor A320 maybe -- it seemed to have the EU stars on its tail... baffling.

I also saw the Air Luxor A320 at YYZ at around noon yesterday, and it baffled me. I checked flytecomm quite a few hours later when I got home, but couldn't find the flight, therefore I'm not sure where it was originating.

Also of interest, yesterday an AN-124 came into YYZ, and I believe it left already, and today there is a Gemini Air Cargo MD-11 at the infield cargo area, perhaps it's the first flight on behalf of Air Canada Cargo!

I also spotted this Air Luxor A320 in YYZ yesturday while I was on my way to training for jetsgo. I believe it operated a charter for Skyservice but I am not sure.

The Air Luxor A320 has been parked here in ANC since I came into work this afternoon. The aircraft is parked on the southside of the North (International Terminal). Does anyone have information on why this bird is in town???

Hi!!
From a portuguese forum:
2004, November 01
Air Luxor started today a round the world trip with a 30 day duration, for a canadian costumer, using its A320 CS-TQD, with ETOPS 120 certification.
Stops scheduled are:
Toronto, Edmonton, Anchorage, Cold Bay (fuel stop), Petropavlosk (fuel stop), Osaka, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh (Saigon), Siem Reap, Delhi, Male, Mombasa (fuel stop), Nairobi, Cairo, Istambul, Budapest, Keflavik, Gander (fuel stop) and back to Toronto.
So I guess this solves the mistery.
Spotters along the way, you have been warned :P

Is this why Air Luxor stopped flying to Madrid, Dublin and London? In the new winter schedule all of these destinations have disappeared from their network...
