It was a charter MSY-JFK bringing a group of Irish people back to Kennedy to connect to Aer Lingus. I worked the flight. The aircraft operated DEN-MSY early this morning, then MSY-JFK, then a ferry flight JFK-IAD, and then the plane will operate this evening's scheduled flight from IAD to DEN. Aircraft was N910FR, "Sal the Cougar".

Gee Stephen, another reason MSY should have a trans-atlantic? F9 must have done well on that flight. Considering their lack of aircraft, how were they able to cycle the plane out?

F9 cancelled a couple of flights across the system so that they could use the plane for the charter. Midweek is typically slow system wide, so having a flight cancelled that had low loads to begin with did not really adversly affect the operation. Charter flights are guaranteed $$$.

As for transatlantic from MSY, it'll happen sooner or later, i've been hearing some interesting things lately but I can't say much more than that for now.
