First off, I'm so sorry I do not have a picture. I pray somebody can upload one soon. I saw a DC-10-30 in MIA in the new colors. It looks awesome! I will try to get a pic, however I'm out of town. Someone please post it.

The DC-10 is not a -30 series but a -10 as correctly listed by the photographer. Kind of surprised that Arrow is going with the shorter range version.

My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.

N68041 !! Hey!! Thats a former CO machine. CO's first DC10 in fact. Sold to Emery a few years ago. Glad to see it's not been recycled .... Yet.

Good to see Arrow expanding and purchasing a new (well, not new as in age, but new to the fleet) DC-10.

Does anyone know why they decided to retire the L1011s and go for the DC-10? They used to operate them, but switched to the L1011, and now they're back to the DC-10...

I'm looking forward to seeing her around Miami in that attractive new colour scheme!

Don't know exactly why, But DC10's just seem have made better freighters then the L1011s.

I shot a slide of that beauty on that take off from further back in the runway. I didn't know that was its first flight for Arrow! It was painted just a few days before.

Arrow did have DC-10s in the 80s but those were passenger not cargo, back when Arrow was a charter passenger airline.

Last time I saw their L1011s was at the beginning of this year, don't know their whereabouts or why they were replaced. However I've heard the DC-10 has slightly more cargo capacity than the L1011, not sure if it's true or not.

I flew on that old bird in 99 when it came from Continental Micronesia back to Continental in 99. Flew it from LAX to HOU on the 7:00am flt i knew something was weird about it vs the normal series 30 on that flt, as it was much quieter on the inside on start up and taxi and it did not have air vents above the seats. Shortly after it was converted to a freighter and handed over to Emery.

I was wondering where this DC10 had come from. So this was one of those painted in the Emery scheme? I saw one at MIA about a year ago, probably operating for Gemini.

Any more Emery DC10s still around parked somewhere or flying for somebody else? Or perhaps these operated in Emery colors but weren't owned by them since the airline hasn't been allowed to fly their own aircraft lately..
