Hello Ohio friends. I am travelling to Canton/ Akron (CAK i think?) and i was wondering if anyone has info on good spotting places there, what kind of a/c and traffic is there? What airlines can i connect to CAK from ORD/ATL or charlotte? I have never been to Ohio I am excited. Even though i went to college in the states, i didnt travel much when i lived there. I would appreciate any info from my A.net friends!

As far as I know, CAK has mainly RJ traffic and B717s flown by AirTran. Also, smaller turboprops. They may have the occasional 737 in there somewhere too.
I'm sure more local people could fill you in a bit better.
CAK is a very small airport but is growing very quickly...I'll be flying CAK-ATL in about three weeks for Thanksgiving!

The airport like others have said is pretty much RJ's and the AirTran 717's, though you might get lucky and have a charter flight there at the same time you are, those usually are 737's from SunCountry or Miami Air. It also is a growing airport and one that I am sure is a thorn in the side of CO and its CLE hub. The nice thing is close in parking and in and out is easy for passengers. Though it is not a large airport so if there are a few flights going out at the same time it can get crowded.

CAK is a small airport with not much activity compared to CMH. The advantage of CAK is Air Tran, which offers low fares to people living in central east Ohio. Travel time from my house (Muskingum county) to CAK or CMH is almost the same. But don't expect too much activity and hope you still get a nice day, since I would not like to spot during the winter, too f. cold...
